Vertical video for a mobile app, made from its website

Your app has a presentation page. MotionMaker reads it and builds a 15 to 25 second vertical film from it: your identity, your arguments, and nothing that is not on the page.

  • 1080×1920

What you get

  • The website is the starting point

MotionMaker reads the web page that presents the app, not the app store.

  • Your arguments, rephrased

The film reuses what your page states and adds no rating or download count.

  • Vertical by nature

A 1080×1920 format that looks like the screen your app lives on.

An app lives in vertical, so should its video

A phone is held upright, and an app’s film is likely to be watched on the same device. A 1080×1920 format is therefore the most natural one. MotionMaker produces that format directly, in 15 to 25 seconds, with no cropping from a horizontal film.

What MotionMaker reads, and what it does not

MotionMaker reads websites: the address of the page that presents your app, with its logo, colors, tone and arguments. It does not read the content of an app store listing, nor the internal screens of the app itself. The interface components it replays are the ones the web page really displays.

  • Read: the public presentation web page.
  • Not read: the inside of the app, logged-in areas, store listings.
  • To fill in if needed: logo, arguments and colors, which you correct in the brand kit.

A film idea that drives the rest

MotionMaker starts by proposing three film ideas. You pick one and it dictates the cut, so the film has a thread instead of a string of shots. For an app the most natural angles are a brand presentation, something new (a feature that just shipped), an offer or a hiring post.

No invented fact, especially the app-store kind

App videos lean heavily on numbers: download counts, average rating, reviews. MotionMaker shows none that does not come from your site or from what you type. A scene that would need a missing rating is not played. This discipline is detailed in the technical guardrails.

What you receive

  • A vertical MP4, 1080×1920, 30 frames per second.
  • A length of 15 to 25 seconds, suited to short feeds.
  • Camera-style transitions and text readable without sound.

When to choose another tool

If you want to show the app in real use with a screen recording of the phone, or a filmed demo with a presenter, MotionMaker is not built for that. It is designed for brand films built from a website.

Before you publish, check what the page says

The film can only say what the page says. So first reread the page that presents the app: if a feature is described vaguely there, the film will be vague too. Fixing the page or the brand kit is the best way to improve the film.

From website address to finished film, in four steps

  1. Paste your address

MotionMaker reads your logo, colors, tone, text and the real interface components of your site.

  2. Pick a film idea

You get three film ideas. The one you choose drives the whole edit.

  3. The film is cut

Shots, camera moves and rhythm are built around your brand, with nothing made up.

  4. Tweak and export

Adjust shots, logo, colors and claims, then download the vertical MP4.

Frequently asked questions

No. It reads a website. Give the address of the page that presents your app.
Can the film show my rating or download count?
Only if you type them or your site displays them. MotionMaker never adds any.
Can it show the screens of the app?
Not from the app itself. The interface components replayed are those the web page displays.
How many films are free at sign-up?
Two credits are free at sign-up, which is two films at fast quality.

Paste your website address. The film follows.

Paste your address: your site is read, then your first film is made in your account. Free credits at sign-up, watermark-free MP4 films.

Nothing is made up: figures, reviews and names come from your site. The app interface is currently in French.
